Ministry
Mark Hedrick, from Park Hills, Missouri, was addicted to alcohol and drugs for 20
years, taking him to the penitentiary four times. Upon release from prison in
1999 Mark moved to Branson, Missouri, where he was shown the way out of his
addictive life style through the life and work of Jesus Christ. Now Mark has
devoted his entire life to helping other people who are trapped in the cycle of
addiction. God blessed Mark with compassion and a gift to reach these people.
Recently commissioned as a Captain in the Church Army, Mark is now the
Director of the Church Army base of evangelism in the Lead Belt. He directs the
Fresh Start Program with the tools God has given him to show recovering addicts
the “way out” of their addiction. They learn how to live a clean, productive and
spiritual life in Jesus Christ. Fresh Start provides transitional housing for men
and women in order to live in a drug fee environment.
