New Base takes Root in Virginia
All Saints Anglican Church in Woodbridge, Virginia has been serving the poor and
homeless of Prince William County for 25 years. When the Bishop and Rector John
Guernsey became aware of Church Army’s harvest of
transformed addicts in Branson Missouri, he sensed
God’s nudging. That nudge has led to a growing
missionary partnership between the congregation of All
Saints and the Church Army USA.
The goal of that partnership is to plant a Church
Army base of evangelism in Prince William County. A mission team from Branson, along
with National Director Steve Brightwell are at work in Prince William County. A devoted
task force from All Saints has made the preparations and arrangements for this team to
provide addiction recovery workshops and classes in various venues, including the
County Jail.
All of the Branson missionaries are men and women that have experienced God’s
rescuing hand pulling them out of alcoholism and addiction. They are the future planters
for new Bases that will reach thousands still suffering.
“This partnering process will serve as a model for the next generation of Church
Army Bases of Evangelism” says Steve Brightwell. “Our new friends at All Saints are
training us for the next ones. They set the standard of commitment and energy required
to make it happen.”

Northern Virginia, clink on this invitation. The local task
force is preparing for their first Faith Promise Banquet on
May 28, 2009 at the Quantico Officer’s Club in Quantico
Virginia.
Please join us in prayer as we gratefully come before our generous God with
thanksgiving. We pray for more people to become a part of the harvest in bringing the
least, the last and the lost into God’s kingdom as this new base of evangelism and
reconciliation takes root in Northern Virginia. Amen.
Start up of a new base in Stone County Missouri
Church Army USA will be launching the start of a new base in Stone County Missouri hopefully by the end of the year.
Stone County is a poor, rural county nestled along the Arkansas border in the rolling hills of south western Missouri. Drug arrests and so called “Meth Lab Incidents” have been doubling there for the last several years.
It abuts Taney County where our Branson Base has been ministering these last seven years.
Dawn and Brian Engel in our Branson Base are already equipped, ready and willing to go.
They just need the resources to make it happen.
We need a facility, furnishings, and equipment for Dawn and Brian to begin serving as effectively as God knows they can. . . and as quickly and efficiently as Stone County deserves.
Praise the Lord for granting this amazing opportunity to launch a new base. Our impact will be great! Stone County will be seeing fewer drug arrests, fewer “Meth lab Incidents”, fewer broken marriages, and more Gospel saturated, transformed men and women free from debilitating addictions. . . all to the glory of God!
Dawn and Brian Engel are looking forward to
starting something never done before in Stone County, Missouri. With your prayers and support – and God’s
grace -- they are going to succeed.
